PvE is clearly more broken...the problem is that the majority of PvE players don't give a crap. So in that sense PvP is more broken because most players give a crap.

Oh wow, that's very different from the description when you hover your cursor over the skill in this thread. That should probably be updated...?

I'm not all that familiar with EotN necro skills, sorry for the confusion, even though I'm not really sure if it's my bad. Maybe I just trusted Guru too much...

So nerf Sig of Humility then, or just use foul feast for condition removal (None elite) :x

PS, if you arent aware that foul feast is a condition remover now, you are even more stupid then anyone else here.

http://guildwars.wikia.com/wiki/Foul_Feast

PWN face conditions with a non elite, YAY!!!

Plus you use this:

http://guildwars.wikia.com/wiki/Plague_Sending

GG.

I guess people playing PVP today are dumber then ever if they cant even use these to counter conditions yet :x

It would be great on an N/Rt Condition spreader and healer. These two skills plus heals.

Having played both, I will say they are both in need of some kind of balance.

PvE should lose the PvE skills and the outrageous buffs to certain skills should be reverted.

PvP needs to take a good look at Wounding Strike, the Signet Mesmer build. Thats a crucial balance. If you want to help HA, do something about Escape, it will blast one of the biggest gimmicks.

PvE for sure.

The thing about it is that something like Wounding Strike/Signet mes is counterable.

Sure, it operates heavily on the shock and awe element of throwing around massive damage with condition stacking and RC disable, but it's counterable, especially by a split.

I personally hate playing against it but it's not like sinsplit, which auto-wins tournaments.

Imbagon/Ursan isn't really counterable by the AI.

Ridiculous damage output combined with implacable party defense (at least with the imbagon) simply overwhelms everything in PvE.

How does your idiot AI get past 100AL and cons? They can't.

Ursan/Imbagon are autowin buttons.
Current gimmicks floating around in TA/HA/GvG are not.

PvE in any MMOG, not just Guild Wars, will always be broken because it will always be human players versus an AI designed to be defeatable by most human players. This asymmetry is incurable unless you design the AI to counter any but the most skilled and balanced builds. We know that Guild Wars will never take this route.

(Contrary to popular belief, such an AI can easily be built, as nearly everything in PvP with the possible exception of pre-emptive body blocking is a rote application of an automatizable algorithm. Indeed, if one does pursue this style of design, the difficulty will be in keeping the AI challenging while still fun. This will mean drastic reductions in penalties for loss; for example, DP reduces over time.)

As to whether PvP is "more" broken than PvP, the answer is easy. Yes, because PvP isn't broken. The core concept of GW1-style PvP is sound. The implementation at any given time can have problems, but such is the nature of a dynamic metagame.

You can infinately use foul feast to remove conditions because the energy return pays back for the cost of the skill.

Target Ally has deep wound + bleeding? Foul Feast, +4 energy > Spirit Light.

Next Ally, Foul Feast, +4 energy > Mend Body + Soul.

Target nearest enemy, Plague Sending.

Keep going. The heals only need to be done if required. If the ally has over 75% health, leave him for the monk or whatever else. I might not PVP anymore, but I know pretty well how to heal / support with Monks, Rits, Paras, Necros and Ellys.

Woohoo for Necro healers! (Really, if you arent using these in PVP yet .... )
The best way to do it not to take condition removals on your monks, and use 2 monks and 1 N/Rt maybe, and let the N/Rt handle conditions with Foul Feast. One monk concentrates on pushing red bars up with a lil help from the N/Rt, the other monk prots. Great backline support.

PVE seriously bores me, and I want to make an Imbagon as well

I will likely give up after a few days, but I want one with Primeval armor, and its hella boring to do.

I'm going to try make it a challenge by only using free collector armor with 50 and 65 AR levels for as ling as possible, and just save up for the Primeval armor lol. But I believe it will still be really easy.

I agree...but if ANet did actually make PvE areas more challenging..
(I'm sorry..HM just didn't cut it for a challenge, the monsters STILL have the same predictable patroling, movements.)
You will have the less experienced players screaming to the high heavens about how the game is too 'hard.'
*sigh*
Maybe someday, someday....someday

I think anet did the right thing separating PVE/PVP because PVP skill balance always ruined PVE skills. Now we have people (Godlike Eliteists) that feel that anet should nerf some of these PVE skills which will only ruin the game for the many many people that enjoy using them. I have 3 years under my belt playing GW and I find that I am actually able to get more enjoyment out of the game because of these skills. For me, its these skills that still keep me playing GW, it makes it interesting and new. There are skills in the game that I absolutely hate, and guess what? I am not going to ask Anet to remove them or ruin them, I have respect for others and if they like the skill, then they are free to use it, I will simply choose the skills that I enjoy.
Good post. I too fail to see why someone running Ursan Blessing or Shadow Form in a instance game is going to affect anyone outside the group using it.

Economy thing doesn't work because it is not broken, only people trying to charge three times what things are worth are broken. My wife who like to play trader made 170k (cleared pure profit) last night in two hours time just selling / buying elite and normal tomes. At the same time I tried Shadow Farming raptors and vermin (she wanted more elite sin tomes). My profit during that time was 12k and never got any elite tomes.

Investing your money in real life may be a good thing but investing game gold in something like ecto is just stupid. It is a game and has one simple rule, "Once the new wears off the price will drop". It just depends on how fast the new wears off.

As for forming pugs, this is not 2005. The game is 3 years old and add to that the fact that nothing new has happen in 1 year. The number of players is decreasing. PUGS or any group will get harder to form as time moves on, just the way the game is played.

If you are an elitist and PvE is not hard enough for you there is a very simple solution, PvP. If you need a challenge then that is really where you should be because no dungeon / elite area is ever going to come close to pvp.

I don't consider PvE broken and that is all I do so I have no clue how PvP is right now.

I don't play PvP, PvE is fine...............the only ones that thinks it's broken are the Elitist A-holes..........normal Gamers enjoy the game, Elitist A-holes QQ about every thing...........that is my opinion.

PvE broken.

PvP is fine, at least in RA and AB, which is where I've been rolling around lately. (My interest in Gw has been declining the more I hear about Gw2 and the more I hear about Diablo 3.)
